Have I got news for you?
Updated: Apr 11, 2021
I recently shared an Instagram of some publications to follow within the industry to keep up to date with all the latest news from across the world. This is an industry that is worth £19.2 billion pounds in the UK alone and faces many challenges, especially during Covid-19. With the industry ever-changing and adopting new trends, it's important to keep one foot ahead of the game and brush up on your knowledge. So, which ones should you be looking at?

Listed below are some of the most popular sites for news, not only for their ease of use, the wealth of knowledge, breadth of resources but because they are well established and highly credited and respected within the industry. Some even host annual conferences and awards ceremonies to highlight the best of the best across the globe.
If website magazines and news articles are not your thing, try following some of the big names in the industry on their blogs, LinkedIn, Youtube and Instagram. All are great places to find micro news that hit the top headline and given their expert opinion on what this means realistically to us working in the industry. Some of my favourites are;
@hothospitalitye - Instagram
@themiceexchange - Instagram & Twitter
Julius Solaris - Eventmanagerblog - LinkedIn & Blog
Techsytalk - Blog
Biz Bash - Blog
@amandathurlow - Blog & Instagram
I admit it's not always easy to remember to look at industry news and brush up on the world of events especially when there are deadlines to meet and events to run. But there are some simple steps that can help you to navigate to these quickly when you have a 'quiet' five minutes in the office.

If you have any tips on how you get the news or which publications we should be adding to our list, please comment below and share the intel!
